Ontario Renaissance Festival Closes its Gates

The management of the Ontario Renaissance Festival has announced that, after nine seasons, it will be closing its gates.

In its nine years, the festival entertained over half a million customers and employed over six hundred vendors and entertainers.

Well it appears we now have a new Faire, falling out of the ashes of the old... called the ROYAL ABINGDON FAIRE (see http://www.ontariorenaissancefaire.ca/). Most of the attractions appear to be the same, but the vendor population does not seem to have the same heart... Kaat

I am very saddened by the news

I am very saddened by the news of the festival closing. I don't understand why they are closing. It will be greatly missed by everyone in my household.
