Libraries to Feature Medieval Reading Club Theme

SCA librarians across the United States are warning groups to expect to be inundated with requests for programs this summer when many facilities will feature the theme "Dragons, Dreams and Daring Deeds."

According to the website for the 30-state collaborative program,

"The theme focuses on dragons, mythical beasts, the Middle Ages, fairy tales, and fantasy, medieval fairs and feasts, kings, queens, princes, princesses, knights, castles, magical stories, wizards, and wishing wells and provides libraries with the opportunity to explore the entire scope of imagination and books."

Materials and FAQs are available on the website.

The theme for older readers is "Joust Read."
