Yale Seminar to Cover Bayeux Tapestry

R. Howard Bloch will teach an NEH summer seminar at Yale University entitled The Bayeux Tapestry and the Making of the Anglo-Norman World.

The seminar will use the tapestry and other primary sources as "a record of the Norman Conquest and as a key to Anglo-Saxon culture as well as to the High Middle Ages."

A wide variety of topics such as weaponry, government, food, dress, church, burial customs, etc. will be covered in the class which will take place at Yale University in New Haven, CT June 27-August 5, 2005.
