Duchess Marieke Named Tyger of the East

Baron Ernst Nuss von Kitzingen has announced that Duchess Marieke van de Dal has been named a Tyger of the East by King Thorson and Queen Svava.

Baron Ernst writes:

This past weekend [October 30], Duchess Marieke van de Dal, Lady of the Rose, Mistress of the Laurel, Mistress of the Pelican, Companion of the Silver Crescent, Companion of the Manche, holder of the Queen's Order of Courtesy, twice named companion of the Burdened Tyger, holder of the Queen's honor of distinction and granted an Augmentation of Arms, was named the newest Tyger of the East by King Thorson and Queen Svava . It was a moving and warmly received ceremony which was greeted by a lengthy and well deserved standing ovation.

This lady humbles me greatly.

(By EK Law) Tyger of the East: given to those who most embody and personify the ideals of the East Kingdom. No more than one person may be so recognized during a reign; a person may receive this honor only once. Established April 26, A.S. XXXVII by Darius II and Roxane II.

Her Grace Duchess Marieke becomes only the third person to receive this award. The others are Master Harold von Auerback and Baron Ernst Nuss von Kitzingen, contributor of this story. Congratulations!
