Mapungubwe Ruins to Attract Visitors

South Africa plans to attract visitors to a new national park, the centerpiece of which will be excavations from the Mapungubwe Kingdom.

The African kingdom of Mapungubwe reached its peak of power in the 13th century. Now the government of South Africa hopes to bring the kingdom back to life in the minds and imaginations of tourists when ruins from the kingdom become the centerpiece of a new national park.
