Globe News: The mystery of the wanderings of Snorri Thorfinnson may be closer to being
solved with the doscovery of a perfectly-preserved tuef long house in
Glaumbaer, Iceland.
Snorri Thorfinnson is a mythic figure in Scandinavian history and mythology.
Thought to be the first European born in the New World, Thorfinnson was a
member of the family of Eric the Red. His birthplace has been discovered at
l'Anse aux Meadows in Newfoundland, but the mystery of his travels afterward
has stumped researchers ever since.
