With the frigid snows of winter beginning to blow, the Shire of Crannog Mor would like to invite you to come warm yourself by our fire, at the Polar Bear Ball. We will have a heated, indoor arena in which to test your fighting skills, a feast designed to amaze your palate, after dinner dancing, and a bardic circle for your entertainment.

Site: Piney Creek School, 559 Piney Creek School Road, Piney Creek, NC 28663. The site is strictly dry, no pets, no live steel, and no smoking in buildings. Site opens at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday and closes at 12:00 a.m. Merchants are welcome please contact the autocrat for more information.

Martial Activities: For heavy fighters we will have a Bear Pit Tournament with extra points for Team Livery. Please contact the MIC for further details regarding the fighting scenario, Baron Achbar ibn Ali (achbar@bellsouth.net). Rapier format has not yet been decided.

Arts and Sciences: For the less martially inclined, there will be an A&S Competition with a Winter theme (special consideration will be given to entries with the most creative use of the Polar Bear).

Contests: A silent contest is being sponsored, with a prize given to the person who has traveled the greatest distance to be with us.
