If it weren't for Somerled, Scotland's unsung hero, residents of the country might be speaking Norwegian.

A new book by Kathleen McPhee tells the story of Somerled, a 12th century Scottish hermit who led the local defense against Norse invasion. McPhee believes that Somerled should be honored in the same way as William Wallace.
