'History geeks" learn siege warfare in Atlantia

“This is very much the kind of group where you get out what you put in. You find something you love and pursue it. Then when you know a little bit about it you can share it with others,” said Jason Shealey about the SCA. Lisa Kaylor of the Augusta (Virginia) Chronicle has the story. (photo)

Kaylor attended the Kingdom of Atlantia's first siege engine event and learned about the SCA - and trebuchets - from participants such as Anton Berg and squire Julie Decker who quipped, “Basically we’re history geeks. We cover everything from the fall of Rome to 1599, so anything that happened in Europe ... during that time is fair game.”
