Numismatists in England found themselves squirming with delight over the discovery in Devon of approximately 22,000 copper-alloy coins, "the largest of its kind ever found in Britain." Now Culture24 allows visitors to take a closer look at some of the coins with a slide show. (photos)

The Seaton Hoard was discovered in 2013 near a known Roman villa at Honeyditches in East Devon by metal detector enthusiast Laurence Egerton, who said, “Between finding the hoard and the archaeologists excavating the site I slept alongside it in my car for three nights. It’s by far the biggest find I’ve ever had. It really doesn’t get any better than this."
