"Holy Grail" stolen in Wales

The Nanteos Cup is missing. Rumored to be the Holy Grail, brought to Britain by Joseph of Arimathea, the olive wood cup is normally kept in a bank vault in Wales, but was loaned to an ailing women in Weston-Under-Penyard. It was stolen from her home July 14, 2014. (photo)

The Nanteos Cup is believed to have healing properties and was protected by monks until the reign of Henry VIII when it was passed to the Powell family of Nanteos Mansion. The Powells continued the use of the cup for healing pilgrims until the 19th century.
