Wyoming college hosts Biduum Latinum

Latin is alive and well at Students at the college are required Wyoming Catholic College where students and professors recently participated in Biduum Latinum, a Latin immersion weekend, where everyone spoke only Latin. KCWY News 13 has the story.

"We use it in the active way for two reasons,” said Latin Professor Patrick M. Owens. “One, it's a great to learn the language and master the material. Two, because this is a Catholic College and Latin is the language of the Roman Catholic church.” Students at the college are required to read, write and speak Latin before they are allowed to graduate.
