This is Lincolnshire: Viking Braids to be Preserved and Tested

1,500-year-old braids from a Viking archaeological dig in Russia have found their way into the hands of research assistants at the University of Lincoln.

Conservation students at England's University of Lincoln have taken on the task of preserving 1,500-year-old Viking hair from a burial site in Russia. The braids, which were wrapped with bindings and jewelry, were discovered in the 19th century, but never preserved. Future plans include DNA testing.
