Parts of the bridge, including the ramp and several stone abutments, are being studied as well as highly-decorated stone fragments. The archaeologists have erected a tent near the site and hope that the public will visit the dig.

A second-century bridge crossing the River Tyne in Corbridge, England, forming part of the Roman "Great North Road," is being studied by archaeologists.
Parts of the bridge, including the ramp and several stone abutments, are being studied as well as highly-decorated stone fragments. The archaeologists have erected a tent near the site and hope that the public will visit the dig. |
