Avert your eyes! The Grail will make its annual appearance on Saturday, April 27, 2013! Please join us at Greenfields Country Day School as we watch unbelted fighters vie for the honor (some say punishment) of hosting this terrible relic within their home.
There will also be a rapier tourney for the coveted "Gawdy Grail" and a youth tourney for the "Gruesome Goblet". We will have space for an Awful Artisan's Display as well. And if all of that is not enough for you, we will also be holding our Archery Championship on site.
In order to fit this much excitement into one day, the even will begin promptly at 9am. The archery championship will be held first, with court to follow as soon as a champion is declared. Armor inspection will be conducted during archery and up until court starts, then the list will close 15 minutes after court, with the tourneys to follow immediately. We must be off site by 5pm due to another group scheduled to use the space, so all assistance in setting up and tearing down, as well as in keeping things moving in a timely fashion throughout the day will be appreciated, so we can all wring every last drop of fun out of the event.
Shade, restrooms and water will be available. As this is a school, there can be no smoking or alcohol, and only service animals may attend.
Greenfields is located at 6000 N. Camino de la Tierra, Tucson AZ 85741
Site fee is $6.00 for adults, $3.00 for youth 11 to 17. $5.00 nonmember surcharge applies.
