Catherine Zeta Jones hopes to help find "lost palace" of Welsh princes

Welsh actress Catherine Zeta Jones and her husband Michael Douglas have donated a "substantial" sum of money to help purchase Abergwyngregyn in Gwynedd, the purported site of the "lost palace" of medieval Welsh princes.

Believed to have been the home of Llywelyn the Great and Llywelyn the Last, the land has been researched by historian Paul Martin Remfry, who believes farmland around the area contains the site of the castle. Zeta Jones, who lives adjacent to the land, also hopes to help build a Welsh performance center in the area.
