[AET] Fabric, Fiber, Fighting, Fencing, etc

The tenth annual grand textile symposium, many "F" event will be held on the weekend of November 16-18, 2012, at the Sieg Conference Center located on Narrows Road in Lamar, PA (no street address).

Saturday the 17th of November will be a day of classes and workshops devoted to fabric, string, and many other arts. Abundant Fighting and Fencing activities are planned for the day -- these plans continue to grow - don't miss The Rose Royal Tourney!

The site opens at 4PM on Friday, and closes at noon on Sunday.

We invite all attending to bring relevant books from their personal libraries to contribute to an event reference library.

Silent Auction
We will be holding a silent auction to defray travel costs for out of state teachers - auction donations are welcome!

Martial Activities
Fencing and Fighting will be held.

A generous noon side-board will be provided for all who attend, with much hospitality planned throughout the day. We plan to have an abundance of food; however, the Saturday evening feast is limited to 50 gentles, so reserve early.

The weekend fee of $16 includes site fee, bunk bed, and Saturday side board. The day fee of $12 includes site fee and Saturday side board. Feast is $8. Babes in arms are free.

Non Member Surcharge: Anyone without an SCA membership will be charged a $5 surcharge as of July 2010 ( See kingdom notice). Note: the non member surcharge only applies to young children if they pay a site fee.

Large Groups: We ask any groups of 10 or more who plan to come without a reservation to please email\call the autocrats first even if you don't know the exact number of people you are bringing. (It helps us to coordinate the meals).

From everywhere, take your best route to I-80. From interstate 80 take Exit 173 to Lamar (state route 64 south). At the bottom of the exit ramp proceed southward, towards State College, on route 64. Begin looking for SCA signs. Travel 1.9 miles, and then turn left onto Washington Ave. There is a sign for the Lock Haven Conference Center at this intersection. Continue on this road for 3.4 miles (it will turn into Narrows Road). The entrance to the site is on your right (no street address).

From points South of State College Area, take your best route to State College PA, via route 322. From 322 take 26 (which will become state route 64 North) for 26 miles. Turn right onto Washington Ave, at the sign for the Lock Haven Conference Center. Continue on this road for 3.4 miles (it will turn into Narrows Road). The entrance to the site is on your right (no street address).
