[WES] Beacons Gate Boar Hunt and Feast

The holidays are coming, and so is the Province of the Mists Annual BeaconsGate Boar Hunt and Feast!
SAVE THE DATE:  Saturday, December 8, 2012 (AS XLVII) 10 am – 10 pm.
SITE INFORMATION: We will be at our traditional site, Camp Herms, El Cerrito, CA. Site opens at 10am, and closes at 10pm. In addition to the THE HUNT during the day, we plan to have many activities within the hall (dancing, singing, music, games) for non-fighters and tired fighters, so bring musical instruments and board games. Banners to help make the hall more festive are especially welcome! Please plan to bring something for your lunch if you are coming on site early. THE FEAST will begin around 5 pm, subject to event considerations.
The site fee is a free-will donation, and there is no need to pay for the feast to come and enjoy the activities of the day!  The Hunt will be held rain or shine and is more fun the more people we have in armor!
From the South: Take Hwy 80 to El Cerrito and exit at Central Ave. Turn left on San Pablo Ave and right on Moeser Ln. At Arlington Rd, turn left. Turn right on Thor's Bay Rd. Follow signs to Camp Herms.
From the North: Take Hwy 80 to the Cutting Blvd exit and turn left. Turn right on San Pablo Ave, then left on Potrero Ave. At Arlington Rd, turn right. Then turn left on Thors Bay Rd and follow the signs to Camp Herms.
THE HUNT: The Boar Hunt is a fighting activity, with fighters armed with two maces playing the part of the Boar. Hunters are fighters armed only with spears, and hounds are fighters armed with a single dagger. There are also unarmed dogs, who seek out the boars and bark when they are discovered -- this can be a great role for a mature child accompanied by a responsible adult. If there is enough interest (and a qualified volunteer marshal), we may add a hunt for rapier fighters.
THE FEAST: The cook for the Feast this year is Francisco Hinojosa. Please contact him at anthony@fennelpatch.com if you have any concerns about allergies, or if you are a vegetarian and are planning to attend the feast.
