News from War Practice: Peerage Vigils and Fundraising

His Highness, Prince Malik was placed on vigil for the Order of the Chivalry by TRM Berus and Marion at Ealdormere War Practice. Baroness Adrielle Kerrec was also placed on vigil for the Order of the Laurel for excellence in 14th century costume. Elevations for both of them will take place at Pennsic.

In other news, the fundraising challenge between Sir Siegfried Brandbeorn and Sir Evander Maclachlan drew to a successful close. Sir Siegfried had originally promised to cut off his long hair if Sir Evander could raise $1000 for the Commissariat and the Scribal fund. Sir Siegfried accepted and counterchallenged Sir Evander to shave off all hair above the waist (except eyebrows) if he could raise the same amount for the Regalia Fund and the Chirurgeonate. Both challenges were successful, and so after Court, the shaving began. Raffle tickets were sold to benefit the Travel Fund to do the honours, and at the end, the two knights were decidedly smoother.

Another fundraising challenge by House Blacksword to other Ealdormere households for the Commissariat also raised over $500.
