First Cynaguan Princess in her Own Right invested at Summer Investiture

On July 14, 2012, in the Province of Golden Rivers (Sacramento, CA), Sir Mari Alexander and Master Brocc of Alderden were Invested as Princess and Prince of Cynagua.

As previously reported by Saionji Shonagon, Sir Mari was the victor of the May 26, 2012 Coronet Tournament in the Principality of Cynagua, Kingdom of the West.

Although this is not the first time the West has seen a Princess in Her Own Right, this is the first time that the Principality of Cynagua has Invested one.  This historical event was attended by several hundred subjects of the West Kingdom.  Most were from within the Principality’s borders, but quite a few misplaced subjects made the journey home from other Kingdoms, including CAID, Middle, An Tir, Northshield, and the East.

Her Highness was escorted by Viscountess Sir Brynn MacLellan and Viscountess Sir Maythen Gervaise (both Viscountesses in Their own right).  Sir Maythen holds the distinction of being the first Western Viscountess in Her Own Right, and well as being one of the earliest female members of the Order of Chivalry.

Their Highnesses followed Their Investiture with a journey to the cool climes of Oertha,  and then participated in the battles and revelry at Pennsic War.  They shall continue to Progress throughout Their Principality, attending as many events as They are able and keeping Their Court on their toes.

Video of the Investiture can be viewed on YouTube (see link below).

And remember: if you call Them Prince and Princess, take a drink!
