On September 8-9, 2012, the 105th Annual Stahlstown Flax Scutching Festivalwill take place in Stahlstown, Pennsylvania. The festival will feature the process of making linen from the flax plant.

The Flax Scutching Festival offers demon-strations of the complete process of making Linen from the Flax plant. The festival also has great homemade food, crafts, antique farm equipment, live music, civil war encampment, covered wagon train encampment and a staged Indian raid. The Indian raid is a realistic battle between Indians and Settlers, representing the hazards of the era.
Admission to the grounds is only $4 per person. Parking is free. The admission fee includes all festival demonstrations, displays, events and concerts.
