[OUT] The Dragons are away, the fighters will play

The Shire of Plattefordham invites one and all to join us in revel as we fight till we drop without concern of Dragon attacks this year!!!

For many years we have been joined our comrades in combat and camaraderie every August, but always with a looming threat of Dragon raid.... This year, we are joining with Stage III, a local theater group, as they hold their Renaissance Faire, at a completely indoor site that will keep any wayward Dragons at bay!

We will start our fighting demonstrations, both light and heavy, at 10:00, and running through the day as time and crowd dictate, wrapping up by 6:00pm.  We will hold our Tournaments, starting with heavy at 2:00pm, followed by our light weapons tournament.  Please come and join us as we demonstrate the fighting arts of the SCA, and enjoy yet another reason to thump upon each other!  A display table will be setup for our fine craftsmen and women to showcase their skills.

The Stage III Theater group will be doing a presentation of "Hamlet", as well as hosting performances from the Imperial Knights full contact jousting troop!!!  Heres your chance to come see it for yourself! The Faire will be continuing into sunday, for any who wish to stay and continue to fight the good fight!
