Jean Paul Claims Throne of Ansteorra

In the Barony of Northkeep, Comte Jean Paul de Sens won the right to stand as Prince of Ansteorra for the second time.  His Highness was inspired by Countess Gilyan Alionorra Clonmacnoise, OP.

His Highness defeated Duke Miguel de Oporto, fighting for Duchess Conal O'Riordain, OP, WSA, in the final bout. In the best 2-out-of-3 final, Comte Jean Paul claimed the first point when His Grace yielded after Comte Jean Paul took his leg. Duke Miguel scored the second point as he legged Comte Jean Paul and His Excellency returned the courtesy and yielded the point. In the third pass, Comte Jean Paul landed the final blow, earning the right to serve Ansteorra once again as her Prince.

In the semi-final round, Comte Jean Paul faced Duke Aaron MacGregor. Duke Aaron exercised his Ducal Prerogative and withdrew from the list after Comte Jean Paul took the first point. Duke Miguel defeated Count Romanius Scipio Versperanius to advance to the finals.

For his honor and chivalry displayed upon the field, King Hrafn II award Duke Miguel the King's Blade of Chivalry. This is third time His Grace has received this honor.
