The British Library has recently acquired a 16-page pamphlet published by Wynkyn de Worde in 1497, the earliest known veterinary textbook printed in Britain.
The Propertees and Medicynes of Hors was the ultimate guide for caring for horses known at the time. The original work is being preserved by the British Library.
