Each year during war week, the Tuchux tribe gathers to sponsor a tournament to raise money for charity. This year the tournament is scheduled to take place on the Tuesday of war week immediately following the bridge battles.
The estimated start time is approximately 4 pm. This tournament consists of a drawn weapons bear-pit competition. The entry fee for those wishing to take part is a minimum US$5 donation.
In addition to the tournament, they will also be holding a silent auction. The auction will contain items generously donated by individuals to help raise money for charity. So far over 40 merchants have pledged to donate items to our auction effort. This year, all donations from tournament entry fees, donations, and auction items will be donated to Cure Search for Children's Cancer [see link below]. Cure Search is a non-profit organization that funds and supports children's cancer research and provides information and resources to all those affected by children's cancer. Childhood cancer does not discriminate. It reaches across all ethnic, gender, and socioeconomic groups. Every day in the US, 36 children are diagnosed with cancer and join the more than 40,000 children who undergo treatment for cancer each year.
The Tuchux would like to invite everyone to please take time to help raise money for this worthwhile cause. Come and fight, bid on an item or two, or just cheer on those fighters who take part.
