Medieval St. George Discovered in Llangattock Lingoed

A life-size painting of St. George dating from the Middle Ages has been discovered in St Cadoc's Church in Llangattock Lingoed, South Wales.

Experts renovating St Cadoc's Church near Abergavenny in South Wales have uncovered a large painting of St. George slaying the dragon, an unusual subject since the saint is the patron of the English. Art historians believe that the painting may have been covered up during the Reformation.
