Villa of Roman Aristocrat Discovered in Dorset

The large estate of a wealthy Roman named Anicetus has been discovered in Dorset, England.

Anicetus, a wealthy Roman mentioned by the historian Tacitus, is thought to have been the owner of a large villa in Dorset. The ownership of the land was identified from an 8th century transcript of a Roman map. The luxurious two-story villa included mosaic floors and a bath house.
