Public invited to view ancient remains in Wakefield

Officials at Wakefield Cathedral in England have invited visitors to pay respects to recently unearthed remains, dating to the Middle Ages, discovered during renovations to the church. The remains are scheduled to be reburied.

Wakefield Cathedral, built in the 13th century, has been a place of worship for more than 1,000 years according to experts from Wessex Archaeology who supervised unearthed human remains and architectural features during the renovation. The 13 burials are believed to have been inside or close to the original or current church.
