[EAS] East Kingdom Thrown Weapons University

Come one, come all to the East Kingdom Thrown Weapons University!

This will be a joyous weekend of Thrown Weapons classes, competitions, and camaraderie. Join throwers from all over the kingdom and be a part of Thrown Weapons' time to shine in the spotlight!

For new and inexperienced throwers, there will classes to help you hear that wonderful THUNK! sound as weapons fly from your hand and stick in the target. If you put in a little time and effort, by the end of the weekend you will be a better thrower.

For more experienced throwers, we'll have classes to help fine-tune your throwing and make you a better instructor.

Competitions planned include glow stick tosses both nights of the event, novelty and themed competitions, a heckler's tourney, and a special competition for the best thrower who has never before won a Thrown Weapons tournament, as well as a competition to determine who may call him or herself the best thrower in the East Kingdom.

There will be Thrown Weapons classes and competitions for youth aged five and up.

There will also be opportunities to throw East Kingdom Thrown Weapons Royal Rounds and improve your ranking.

On Saturday morning, a breakfast will be available cooked by Mistress Caterina Sichling von Nurnberg. Mid-day Saturday, there will be a day board cooked by Lady Sephareh Dryden. Saturday evening, a feast of seasonal fare will be offered, cooked by Master Aleksandr Ruslanovich Kievchanin (limited to 64 seats).

Additional details about classes, competitions, menus, and other event information, will be provided (when available) on the event web site.

Merchants are welcome! There will be outside space for your booths and tables (please bring your own setup). We'd like to know who's coming and what you'll be selling-send us a note to  EKTWUmail@gmail.com.

Our beautiful site is conservation land. For those staying the weekend, camping space is available, or there's cabin space for rent. (Renting individually gets you a bunk bed unit - half for you and half for your gear. Entire cabins are also available for rent, and sleep up to ten.) Day-tripping Saturday is also an option.

Please pre-register early. Not only does it help the staff plan, but feast seats and cabin space are limited and you don't want to miss out.

Be aware that while you may drive in to drop off your gear, it is a 15-30 minute hike (depending on how fast you walk) from the parking to the event site, please plan accordingly.

Due to site restrictions, this event is BONE DRY. Please respect our site constraints.

Also due to site requirements, we must know if you're planning to have any fire(s) - grill, brazier, fire bowl, torches, etcetera. This is a site requirement for our fire permit; if you don't tell us beforehand we may not be able to let you light it when you get there.
