Please join the Barony of Rivenoak for our annual Fool's Tourney, Sunday, April 15, 2012 at One Mile (in Bidwell Park) in Chico.
Bring out your Newcomers! We have lots of exciting things for them to do. There will also be a potluck bring your feast gear and a dish according to the first letter of your mundane last name: A-G = appetizer, H-M = dessert, N-S = side dish, T-Z = main dish. The barbeques will be available; so if you wish to use them, bring charcoal and your grillables! There will be plenty of room to set up sunshades, and tables and chairs are always welcome.
The Barony of Rivenoak wishes to invite all to join us for a day full of fun and adventure in our majestic Bidwell Park. The King and Queen of Misrule will be chosen through Rivenoak's arcane art of Divination by Cupcake. The King and Queen of Misrule will then be properly invested and the revelry will commence. All are challenged by the Baron to display their most atrocious and brutish behavior and try to out-Brute the notorious Rivenoak Brute Squad. We will have heavy and rapier tournaments, bardic and heraldic activities, games, challenges, silliness, fun and foolishness. If you're just joining us, try your hand at the Newcomers'
Scavenger Hunt. If you've been here awhile, be challenged by the Oldtimers' Scavenger Hunt.
This is Rivenoak's Newcomer's event. We look forward to having LOTS of Newcomers, in a high-profile area of our lovely park. So, break out your weapons and armor (heavy or rapier), bring your Arts and Crafts and join our Barony in a day of revelry.
