Come, all soldiers, to the fields of Owlsherst to hone our armies' battle skills and prepare for War! Come, all artisans and scholars, to our fields and halls to share your knowledge and learn new skills. Come celebrate and join in a full weekend of activities and camaraderie!
Combat activities include a torchlight Tourney on Friday evening, melee training and mayhem for the Eastern Armies, youth fighting on Saturday and archery.
Classes are being planned for Saturday along with artisan demonstrations to be held throughout the day. Teachers wishing to submit class titles and artisan wishing to hold demonstrations must contact Maitresse Linette de Gallardon, firstname.lastname@example.org
Merchants are welcome to join us. Outdoor spaces are available; Please bring your own shelter. There is a $5 fee to merchant this year, to cover additional costs we have incurred with the site.
As always, the food will be prepared by the incomparable Owlsherst Cooks Guild. This year we are offering a full weekend of food! Friday night, there will be a Traveler's Board with hot food until 9pm. Saturday offers a Continental Breakfast for those camping, followed by the usual dayboard at noon. Saturday evening feasters will savor excellent cooking in a theme yet to be announced. A hearty breakfast will also be served on Sunday morning. If you have any food allergies or diet restrictions, please contact the autocrat as soon as possible.
Additional information about activities, including the feast menu, will be made available through the Shire's web site.
Please note that the site closes at 2pm on Sunday. Volunteers for cleanup are welcome to remain later to assist. Also, the site is damp. Beer and wine in moderation are allowed in period-looking containers. Please take empties with you when you leave; PA liquor laws apply. Pets are not allowed.
Site Info/Rules: The site is rustic and not handicapped accessible. Anyone with mobility concerns should contact the autocrat. The lodge and pool house, just off of the field, offer hot showers. Housing options include the heated lodge space for 35 and group screenhouses with electricity for 100+ (beds may not be available in all houses, please plan accordingly.) There is plenty of space for tent camping but the site cannot accommodate RV's.
When sending your event pre-registration, be sure to include your housing preferences along with your contact information so you can be reached in the event of an issue with your registration.
The gate will be next to the fighting field near the parking area. Please park your vehicle before registering at the gate as there are no temporary drop off space available.

NEW DIRECTIONS TO THE SITE:
On I-83, travel to Exit 28 for PA-295 towards Strinestown. There is a Wendy's on the west side of this exit. Turn toward the Wendy's (from the South, you will turn left; from the North, you will turn right). Just past the Wendy's, turn right onto Cloverleaf Road. At the end of Cloverleaf Road (a little more than 1 mile) make a right onto Green Spring Road, which shortly after that becomes Sheep Bridge Road. You will see signs for the detour; if you see signs that say Road Closed Ahead, you are close to the site - do not turn back. The site is on the right, slightly less than 2 miles from the intersection. The closed bridge is just past the site. Turn right at the last entry to the camp before the bridge, the parking lot, and park. Troll will be in a tent between the parking lot and the battlefield.

Please note that this feast has traditionally sold out before the event. A waiting list will be maintained at the gate but there is no guarantee that a seat will open.
