[EAS] Middleground IV

The Shire of Lyndhaven would like to once again invite everyone to join us for Middleground! The event will take place on the western marches of the shire, at the South Carleton Elementary School, located in Bedell New Brunswick on Saturday May 19, 2012.

Do you like classes? This year the event will once again feature a schola with plenty of interesting classes! Those who would like to teach a class should contact Lady Inga Thorgansdottir.

Do you like combat? We will also be featuring armoured combat and fencing. The Warlord for the event is Baron William Lancton. He has some interesting plans this year, including the return of the bouzkachi game for armoured combatants. When you register for the event, please let him know if you will be fighting or fencing, so he can have an idea of numbers.

Do you like food? There will be a delicious dayboard provided for event attendees as part of the site fee. If you have allergies or food restrictions, please let Lord Snarfi Snorrisson, Lady Mariota of Kildare, and Mistress Tanniscent Rhiannon know. In addition to the dayboard, this year we will also have a feast worthy of kings! Those who pre-pay for the feast will receive a discounted rate. The deadline for paid pre-registration is Saturday, May 5, 2012.

The Lyndhaven Annual General Meeting will also take place at this event. Incumbent officers and candidates should be present for elections and budget approvals. All other members from the shire are strongly encouraged to attend and vote. We will be scheduling this meeting to overlap with lunch so no one needs to miss classes or the scheduled combat.

Absolutely no alcohol nor any metal blades (knives and swords) are permitted on the school grounds. Please leave such items at home for the day. SCA fencing blades are acceptable. No animals are permitted, with the exception of service animals. No smoking is permitted on site.

There is some limited crash-space accommodations at the Harper's hall and lodge. Please contact Mistress Tanniscent Rhiannon to request a place. The Atlantic Inn is also located very close to the event site.
