Evidence of Britain's early Christian past has been recently discovered in Pembrokeshire, Wales. A carefully-chiseled, stone cross and two sets of remains were found at Longoar Bay, near St Ishmaels by workers lowered on ropes. The graves were situated in a cliff face and one was covered with a flat stone marked by a cross. Archaeologists have dated the site to around 750 C.E.

Two skeletons in a 1200-year-old cliff-face cemetery have been discovered in Pembrokeshire, Wales by archaeologists lowered on ropes.
