[AET] Feast of Bacchus

Come one, come all to Endless Hills and help us celebrate the Fest of Bacchus, Roman God of wine! This wondrous event will be filled with Greek and Roman themed activities.

Our magnificent day board and feast will be prepared by Cormacc mac Gilla Brigde and ...his crew kelpie112@hotmail.com. He will be incorporating recipes from Rome, Greece, and surrounding Mediterranean islands for a delicious feast that will not soon be forgotten.

Our fencing tournament will be an Achilles heel themed bear pit. If the fencer is hit below the knee on the right leg they are "dead" and can acquire no more points. The heavy tournament will be a gladiator themed bear pit.

For the archery and thrown weapons, we will be running the traditional baronial championships. After that, we will have an exciting archery and thrown weapons challenge of "killing the monsters" where competitors will shoot/throw at specific mythological creatures. They will be scored based on their accuracy in killing these mythological creatures.

Children of all ages are invited to a similar "killing of the monsters" activity. They will throw "rocks" (bean bags) at the monsters and earn points for making it through different openings in the creatures.

For the A&S brewing part of the event (Bacchus is the god of wine) Ulf the Bear Legged wishes to run a class on the brewing beer. He asks nominal amount of $3 as a materials fee. Due to the laws of local land, the class is limited to persons 21 years of age and older. For the A&S display/ competition we invite those who make beer, mead, wine, and other spirited beverages to be judged based on criteria and a populous vote. We will also hold our very own baronial A&S competition. For more information, contact Juliana Woolworth at empress-mary@hotmail.com
