Picture this, it's the longest night of the year and how are you going to spend it? By reveling with your friends and family of course, but watch out for the trickster, can you guess who he is?
Come join the Barony of Atenveldt as we celebrate winter with our Yule Revel Norse style. Listen to the tales told, while dancing the night away. Or maybe you would rather bring a game to sit and trade your own stories. Everybody will want to see an old Norse story told by the clever actors of our Barony. Then you can pit your creativity against one another to see who can create the best snowflake. Who knows maybe even Old Saint Nicholas will make an appearance for the young ones.
The fun begins at 2 pm and will run until 8 pm at the Boys and Girls Club located at 4730 W Grovers, Phoenix, AZ 85308. The site fee is just $8 for members, $13 for non-members, and youth 17 and under are free.
Dinner will be the potluck style that works so well for us. The main meat dish will be provided by the Barony and we ask that you bring a dish as follows:
- Modern last names beginning with A - H, please bring a side dish
- Modern last names beginning with I - R, please bring a main dish
- Modern last names beginning with S - Z, please bring a dessert
Please note that potluck contributions should feed at least 8 - 10 SCA adults! This will help ensure that there is enough for everyone!
