Greetings unto the populace of Æthelmearc. The Shire of Blackwater once again invites you to find time to come celebrate Hallowtide with us on November 5th 2011 A.S. 46.
Come share in our fellowship as the weather turns colder and our thoughts turn from outside activities to indoor activities and events. To that end we invite the populace of Æthelmearc to come and relax with us. Bring your armor and your round shields as there will be some interesting fighting in an indoor gym. We will be holding our Viking round shield tourney and Viking blood brother tournament as well. Fencing will be available once again.
On the A&S side, there is ample space for projects if you’d care to come and share your latest works with those in attendance. In the past this has been a feature of our events with a few folks working on projects and talking about what they are doing to interested gentles. There will be a few classes that have been hits in the past as well. Further details on those will be forthcoming.
The Pumpkin carving contest, of course, is always a hit! Did you goof up your Fall gourd or did the kids bust yours? Come carve one for us!
There will also be a silent auction. Donations will be graciously accepted -- and so will bidders!
A wondrous feast inspired by The Canterbury Tales will be presented by Lady Renata La Rouge. Please contact Renata at email@example.com with any dietary concerns or requests. Side board will also be served as part of the event entrance fees. Contact the Event Steward for dietary concerns about the sideboard.
Hallowtide VI will take place at our usual site: Trinity United Methodist Church at 131 North 9th Street in Olean, NY 14760. The site will open at 9 am and will close at 9 pm. Trinity is a most emphatically dry site.
The event fee is $8 for adults (18 years and older). The fee for children ages 6 to 17 is $4 and the littles gentles (5 and under) may enter free of charge. The $5 non member surcharge will be collected by the tollners, so please remember to bring acceptable proof of membership. A separate charge for the feast of $7.00 for gentles from 10 years old will be charged; those under 10 eat for free.
Reservations may be sent to: Duchess Anna Blackleaf. Paid reservations are the best as we cannot recognize unpaid requests. Please make your payment payable to: SCA Inc. Shire of Blackwater.
The Event Stewards for Hallowtide VI are Lord Valentine Lyme & Lord Raadjgier Katla. Any questions or concerns can be addressed to firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com
