The rapier tournaments held during the afternoon will be a series of typical scenarios someone in the City Watch would handle during normal duties.

1. Mugging
Two watchmen vs one mugger - objective retrieve stolen purse. The watchman who holds the purse at the end gets an additional point. Mugger has purse as offhand.

2. Breaking up a tavern brawl
Two brawlers vs Two watchmen, brawlers must use tankard/buckler as an offhand

3. Gangfight!
Three gang members vs Three watchman. Gang members must use dagger and cudgel.

4. City Guard boot camp!
The Watch require training - format is a Round robin tournament, with offhand being a boot.

The fourth challenge will be also be an Auction tourney, with the proceeds going to the Blue Ribbon Foundation (Victorian Police memorial charity).

Scoring -

Points for the first three challenges are awarded based on the number of guards surviving the round, with one point being awarded for each survivor, to the survivors only. Therefore, if a round starts off with three guards and one is killed, the surviving guards would get two points each.

Points for round 4 would be awarded as 3 points for the winner, 2 points for second and 1 point for third.

Bonus points may be awarded by the Baroness for the bravest act in the line of duty.

NOTE: Bribes will NOT be accepted... as everyone knows, the City Watch is as honest as the day is long... 'donations' however, are always welcome...

Also, there will be an afternoon quest, involving a scavenger hunt / quest activity for the kids, or the kids at heart! Hidden around the University will be a series of 'stolen' items, which need to be located.

This is a potluck event - bring a plate + 1.
