Last year, fifteen skeletons dating to Angelo Saxon times were discovered during a construction project at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Bicester, England. Recently the remains were re-interred in a church memorial garden. (video)
Archaeologists had hoped that the remains, mostly women over 35, could be studied and put on display, but officials of the church decided to re-bury the skeletons after after a requiem mass. The 7th century, Anglo Saxon skeletons may have belonged to inhabitants of an early nunnery.
