I would like to invite one and all to Lyndhaven's Harvest Feast! This year it will be held at the Lindsay Valley Lodge, at CFB Gagetown, New Brunswick, on Saturday, September 24, 2011.
The hall will open at 10 am for those who would like to partake of the day's activities. Please bring your banners to help decorate the hall!
During the day, there will be table games, fighting on the back lawn (weather permitting), and dance practice. There will be a light dayboard. The kitchen will be open all day for those cooks who need to do final preparations for the dishes.
The feast itself will commence at 6 pm. The format of the feast is a potluck, and we would like to strongly encourage all adult attendees to bring something to share.
After the feast is over, we will push aside the tables and chairs and have some music and perhaps some dancing! Please bring a musical instrument if you wish.
We will be closing the hall when the dancing ends. Anyone who wishes to help with the clean-up will be greatly appreciated.
The cost of the event is $5 for adults (18+), and $2 for children (17 and younger). NMS will not be applied, but there will be a $5 surcharge for adults who do not bring food to share for the feast! We would really rather you brought food, of course. No need to pre-register, just show up!
Make your best way to Oromocto, exit 303 on the Trans-Canada Highway. At the end of the off-ramp, turn right onto Miramichi Avenue. Continue straight through the first two traffic circles, straight through the four-way intersection with St. John Avenue, and then take the 3 o'clock exit at the 3rd traffic circle. You should now be on St. Lawrence Avenue, with trees lining both sides. Continue to the main gate of CFB Gagetown, and enter. You are now on Tilley Avenue. Continue straight on Tilley until you reach the stop sign, and then turn left. Look for Nashwaak Avenue, with the sign for Camp Argonaut on your right hand side. Turn right onto Nashwaak, and continue right to the end. The road will turn to dirt, but keep going. The lodge is at the very end.
