Reivers ride for charity

During the Middle Ages, the Border Reivers rode the lands between England and Scotland, stealing livestock and wreaking havoc with ruthless abandon. Now, their modern versions are riding to raise money for wounded British soldiers.

In August 2011, a party of costumed horsemen have ridden the 130-mile stretch of land in Northumberland and East Lothian, and have collected more than UK£90,000 for the ABF, which aids injured soldiers and their families.
