Scottish folklore collection available online

For the first time, the complete folklore collection of Alexander Carmichael has been published and is available to view online. Carmichael "spent 50 years collecting legends, songs, curses and oral history from Gaelic-speakers."

Alexander Carmichael's papers have been preserved by the University of Edinburgh, whose reseachers have spent two years preparing the collection for publication. The work is available on the Carmichael Watson Project website.
