[WES] Kingdom Arts and Sciences

An annual event in June to celebrate arts and sciences. This weekend-long camping event features multiple tracks of classes and sometimes equestrian events.

A&S will take place June 10-12, 2011, at Ed Levin County Park in Milpitas, California.

Event Schedule:

Saturday, June 11:
• 9:00 am - 10:30 am - Class Session 1
• 10:45 am - 12:15 pm - Class Session 2
• Lunch break
• 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm - Class Session 3
• 3:45 pm - 5:15 pm - Class Session 4
• 5:30 pm onward - evening entertainment TBD

Sunday, June 12:
• 9:00 am - 10:30 am - Class Session 1
• 10:45 am - 12:15 pm - Class Session 2

Site open: noon Friday. Site close: 3:00 p.m. Sunday.

Site fees: $15 per person, $10 for children 13 to 17 years, 12 and under are free, and $45 for families (two adults and two or more children). Please make checks payable to "SCA, Inc. - Kingdom of the West."

Site Rules: Pets are allowed on the site. Please be courteous and pick up after your pet. All pets must be on a leash.

Western fire regulations will be enforced on all green grass areas and no fires of any sort will be allowed in the dry grass areas per park regulations. Carpooling is encouraged

As always, we are not allowed to drive on the grass at this site. Please respect the parking /loading zone signs, and help out your fellow members of the populace. A limited number of carts will be available to help you with your gear, but please bring one if you have one! We will have sign-ups for the carts on Sunday to help keep things organized.

Directions: Traveling on either I-680 or 880, take the Calaveras Road exit in Milpitas. Drive east towards the foothills along Calaveras Road. Calaveras Road passes through the southern portion of Ed Levin Park. To reach the Spring Valley Pond area, continue along Calaveras Road, past Downing Road and turn right into the parking lot.
