Nathan Duffield, a 10-year-old student from Milford Haven, England, has
discovered a 600-year-old ring with a metal detector.
Nathan Duffield is a happy young man. Recently while using his metal detector,
he unearthed a 600-year-old ring under four inches (ten centimeters) of soil.
This was only the second time that the student had tried out his father's
detector.
"It was only his second time -- he thinks they grow on trees now," said Mr. Duffield. The ring is thought to be of Italian origin and has a 10% gold content. The Duffields hope that the treasure will remain on display in their county. |
