Trebuchets for schoolrooms

Michael Woods of Mountain View, California, has a vision: School children learn science by constructing and using desktop trebuchets. To that end, he has created a trebuchet project open to public support. (video & photos)

Woods builds snap-together, desktop trebuchets for schools. Supporters will receive their own kit, some with customizing, depending on the level of support.

To date, Woods has raised over US $96,000 for the project.
