Lord of the Rings Interpreters Needed

Volunteers to act as docents are needed for a "Lord of the Rings" exhibit at the Museum of Science, Boston. Are you an expert on Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, a huge fan, or someone looking for an interesting diversion? You might want to volunteer for Boston's Museum of Science exhibit inspired by the Peter Jackson films. The museum will use live interpreters as part of an education program in conjunction with the exhibit, which "will use props and models in The Lord of the Rings gallery to inspire Museum visitors to ask questions and to participate in informal discussions and experiments."

Volunteers must be willing to commit to one shift per week for the duration of the exhibition (August 1 - October 24, 2004) and have the following qualifications:

* At least 18 years of age
* Interest in science and technology, and excitement about learning more
* Commitment to working in informal science education
* Demonstrated enthusiasm, initiative, and reliability
