[ATE] Champions in the Pines

Their Excellencies and the Populace of the Barony of Granite Mountain would like to invite you to Champions in the Pines, the first Baronial Champions competition for the Seventh Wonder of Atenveldt. Please come up and enjoy a day of tournament.

There will be tournaments in Archery, Rapier, Heavy, and please don't forget to enter the A&S competition. All tournaments will start after opening court on Saturday. Not a member of the Baronial populace? Please feel free to compete for Tournament Champion. The winner of the Tournament Champion will set down the scenarios for the following year.

The A&S Competition portion will be open category and the winner shall be chosen by the votes of Populace. This Competition is open to all who wish to enter, and any entry can win the competition, but only those of the Barony of Granite Mountain can Declare for Champion, so there will be an Overall Winner and a "Declared" winner... This competition will be one factor Their Excellencies will use to choose their next Champion...

In addition to the Champion Competition, there will also be the Champions Challenge.  This will be a separate competition that will run concurrently, and will be Open to All that wish to compete. This Challenge shall be a specific Category: Fiber Arts (weaved work) ...  As I became A&S Champion with my weaving work, I challenge you in this discipline.

The Atenveldt Weathers Gods has smiled upon us with bountiful rains giving us an abundance of meat. This years Champion's Feast will be a three meat buffet, and side dish potluck. We ask everyone who is attending the feast to bring a side dish or dessert to be served with the potluck. There will also be a Saturday night revel and Bardic Tournament around the campfire. Sunday morning awake to pancake breakfast prepared by M'lord Richard Wolfe of Prescott (donations will be accepted).

The site for this event is the beautiful Bradshaw Pines Camp in Prescott, Arizona. This site is discreetly wet. Camping space is available among the plentiful trees. Stone privies and free showers are also available. This site will open on Friday at noon, and will close Sunday at noon.

Fees will be as follows:
Site: $15.00 for adults with proof of paid membership, $20.00 for adult nonmembers, $7.00 for youth 6-17 yrs old, under 6 free
DayTrip: $7.00 day fee for adults w/proof of membership, $12.00 day fee adult nonmembers, $5.00 for youth 6-17 yrs old,under 6 free
Feast: $5.00 adults, $3.00 youth 6-17 yrs old, under 6 free

Directions:
From the north - Take I-40 to HWY 89 into Prescott stay on Gurley St. Turn left on to Mount Vernon Ave (A.K.A. Senator Hwy) follow that for 6 miles. Turn right on to Marapai Rd and follow it for about 2 miles to Bradshaw Pines Campgrounds.

From the South - take I-17 to Cordes Junction. Take Hwy 69 into Prescott and stay on Gurley St. Turn left on to Mount Vernon Ave (A.K.A. Senator Hwy) follow that for 6 miles. Turn right on to Marapai Rd and follow it for about 2 miles to Bradshaw Pines Campgrounds.
