Shroud of Turin Doppelganger

A second ghostly image of a face has been discovered on the back of the famous Shroud of Turin Researchers continue to study different aspects of the Shroud of Turin, purported to be the final winding sheet of Jesus. Now a new study published by London's Institute of Physics shows a second face on the back of the shroud. Damaged by fire in 1534 and repaired by nuns, the back of the shroud is rarely seen, but it was exposed during a restoration project in 2002. Then researcher Giulio Fanti of Padua University saw a faint image and decided to investigate.

"Though the image is very faint, features such as nose, eyes, hair, beard and moustaches are clearly visible," he said.
