Elizabeth I - Ruler and Legend

The Newberry Library in Chicago, Illinois, has created an online exhibit which explores the life and reign of Elizabeth I of England. The exhibit depicts her life and the issues she faced during her reign. It explores the culture that shaped her and the lasting impact she had upon her country's national identity. The exhibit also discusses the legend that grew around her and our continuing fascination with a queen who lived 400 years ago.
