Illuminated Manuscripts on Display in Leuven

Over one hundred illuminated manuscripts are on display at the Museum Vander
Kelen-Mertens in Leuven, Belgium until December 8, 2002.
Lady Oriane d'Avallon reports that a wonderful exhibit, Medieval Mastery - Book
Illumination from Charlemagne to Charles the Bold (800 - 1475) is now on
display in Leuven, a short drive from Brussels. The exhibit includes over 100
manuscripts from famous libraries.
Hours for the exhibit are as follows: Monday from 13.30 to 17.30 The website for the exhibit is available in various languages, including English, by clicking on the corners of the graphic. Manuscripts may be viewed in the pop-up window by clicking on the book tabs. |
