Islamic Art Comes to National Gallery in Washington D.C.

An new exhibit will be visiting the National Gallery in Washington D.C. "Palace and Mosque: Islamic Art from the Victoria and Albert Museum" will on display from July 18, 2004 to February 6, 2005. A traveling exhibit of 120 pieces of Islamic art from the Victoria and Albert Museum will be on display at the National Gallery from July 18, 2004 until February 6, 2005. The exhibit will include calligraphy/illumination, ceramics, pottery and other works from Islamic artists. "Courts and Courtiers" introduces secular art, while "Mosques, Shrines, and Churches" examines religious works.
